Adding Simple Products

A simple product is a straightforward item with no variations or options — like a single t-shirt or a mug.

How to Add a Simple Product:

1. From your WordPress dashboard, go to Products > Add New.

2. Enter the product name and description.

3. Scroll to the Product Data panel and select Simple product from the dropdown.

4. Set the price (regular and sale price if applicable).

5. Manage inventory, shipping, and other details as needed.

6. Add product images and gallery photos.

7. Set the product categories and tags.

8. Click Publish to make the product live.

Adding Variable Products

How to Add a Variable Product:

1. Go to Products > Add New.

2. Add the product title and description.

3. In the Product Data panel, select Variable product.

4. Navigate to the Attributes tab:

   • Add new attributes (e.g., Size, Color).

   • Enter values separated by a vertical bar (|), e.g., Small | Medium | Large.

   • Check Used for variations.

   • Click Save attributes.

5. Switch to the Variations tab:

   • Choose Create variations from all attributes and click Go.

   • Edit each variation to set specific prices, SKUs, images, and stock status.

6. Fill in other product details as needed.

7. Publish the product.

Adding Digital Products

Digital products are files your customers can download after purchase — such as eBooks, music, or software.

How to Add a Digital Product:

1. Go to Products > Add New.

2. Enter product name and description.

3. Under Product Data, select Simple product and then check Downloadable.

4. Upload the file(s) your customers will download.

5. Set download limits and expiry if needed.

6. Set the product price.

7. Publish the product.

Bonus: You can combine digital with variable options if needed (e.g., different versions of a digital file).

Managing Products in Woomen
